International Women's Day Conference 2016

We have successfully done our 3rd International Women's Day Conference on 12th March 2016. This year we delighted to have Councillor Lorraine Reveh, the Mayor of Camden and

distinguish guest speakers to talk about women in Africa.

Professor Rashida Manjoo, UN Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women / Professor of Public Law, University of Cape Town, South Africa, made a speech about female rights in Africa.

Dr. Josephine Ojambo, Commonwealth Deputy Secretary General/Former Member of UN Population Fund, talked about necessity of women's health, especially maternal care, and the fact.

Ms. Janet MF Fyle MBE, Registered Midwife / Professional Policy Advisor, Royal College of Midwives / MBE for work on ending FGM, talked about Reducing the Risk of maternal and child mortality.

Dame Helen Hyde D.B.E, Headmistress Watford Grammar School for Girls / Rwanda Sisterhood Association Patron, introduced MamaPack as a most powerful project in the world.

Souvenir Mutesi, CEO of Rowanda Sisterhood Association, introduced the reality of women's labour in Africa and why we started our core project Mama Pack through showing the video of the visit to Kigali with Dame Helen and girls from Watford Grammar School for Girls.

Fortunately we had wonderful Rowandan Dancers Group Keza and drummers afterwards.
