About Rwanda Sisterhood Association(RSA)

After the 1994 Genocide, women living in the United Kingdom decided to start a support group, RSA, to bring together people uprooted from their motherland and give them space in which to develop social cohesion and work together as contributing citizens. This is particularly important to many but especially for Rwandans whose lives had been badly fractured by the genocide.

PROJECT

One of our main projects is 'Mama Pack'. This is a pack of basic needs for expectant women in Africa to increase the safety of their delivery and also to protect their newborn infant.

We currently have sent hundreds of Mama Packs to Rwanda and intend to do the same to many other countries in Africa.

LEADERSHIP

The current CEO of the Association is Ms. Souvenir Mutesi assisted by a committee of five Trustees.

MEMBERSHIP

The Association is open to any person over 18 years old who supports the Objects of the Association, conducts himself or herself in accordance with high moral standards and is free of criminal convictions, and agrees to abide by RSA's Constitution and any other by-laws or terms and conditions of membership set by the Management Committee (including the payment of any subscription fee).
