Joyce was born in Uganda she moved to the UK in 1994, she was working as a Legal Secretary/ Paralegal with FL Solicitors in the UK. In 1998, she holds a Paralegal Duties certificate and started paralegal work with Thiru & Co Solicitors London, while studying at University, graduated with a Bachelor of Law Honours degree in 2000 from University of East London Barking.  She joined the Department for Constitutional Affairs (justice, rights, and democracy) certified as an Interpreter undertaken for the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal and Court Services in 2003. She was also listed on the Home Office National Register in 2005, in 2012, held a Legal Secretarial Diploma.

She joined Rwanda Sisterhood Association (RSA) in January 2012 and was elected an RSA PA/Secretary. She has worked closely with the RSA First Patron Madam, Mrs. Leonia Nkuruzizi the wife to H.E the High Commissioner for Rwanda in the UK now the Rwandan Ambassador to Turkey.  She now works closely with the current Patron Dame Helen Hyde. She also fundraises for Mama Packs that RSA buys and pack together with RSA members. Attend meetings and take minutes, for events like International Women’s Day and Global remembrance (Kwibuka) 20 years at the House of Commons which were attended by Hon. Louise Mushikiwabo, Minister of Foreign Affairs & the Cooperation Republic of Rwanda. Prof. Linda Melvern, Professor in International Politics University of Wales Aberystwyth Stephen Twigg MP, Member of Parliament for Liverpool West Derby, The Rt. Hon Lord McConnell, of Glenscorrodale and the Rt. Hon. Andrew Mitchell, Member of Parliament for Sutton Coldfield.

RSA began a Pilot Project of Mama Packs, within 10 African Countries, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroun, Ethiopia, Guinea, Nigeria, Rwanda, Uganda, South Sudan and Lethoso. She has been appointed the Uganda Representative, this is to assist reduce the infant mortality and maternal mortality which RSA is trying to introduce elsewhere in the all of Africa. One of the 23 members that visited Rwanda in February 2017.
